Clubs Poker offers GC/SC Bad Beat Jackpots for poker players who got beaten with four of a kind or better while competing in Hold’em or Omaha-style rooms. Their progressives start from a minimum of 250 million GC and 500 SC, but they grow until somebody else hits the jackpot.

The player with a qualifying losing hand receives 45% of the jackpot, 25% goes to the winner, 20% goes to players who stayed in to see the flop, and 10% is reserved for the platform’s next jackpot. In cases where 2 players lose, the player with the highest kicker gets 45% of the prize.

I like the way they spread around the prize pool. There would be something extremely satisfying about taking down an opponent who was holding quads and then getting an extra bonus on top.

Daily Freerolls

Clubs Poker has daily freerolls at 10 PM EST, all of which are accessible under “Tournaments.” You can filter by type to show previously announced, running, and completed freerolls. There’s plenty of room to play poker and get free buy-ins, and compete without spending money.
I’d recommend honing in on freerolls with the fewest number of players for the greatest chances of winning. You can view the number of registered players next to any event without clicking away from the tournament grid. Their freerolls cater exclusively towards “No-Limit Hold’ Em” players.

Clubs Poker has partnered with Hustler Casino to host 24/7 ring games for GC and SC players. Ring games support up to eight players per table, and they’re available across many categories.

I filtered by type underneath Ring Games to show Hold ‘em, Omaha, Omaha H/L, Stud, Stud H/L, Razz, 2-7, and Mixed matches. I was able to view the category associated with each event, check the blinds, confirm eligibility for Bad Beat Jackpots and view the number of active players.

I appreciated how easy it was to find exactly what I was looking for without simply scrolling through dozens of tables.

The design of the software is simple but effective. They aren’t trying to re-invent the wheel here: it looks like a classic online poker room. The action is fast and smooth, and I found it very easy to choose my move every time it was my call. I like the auto-bet buttons, which offer 50%, 75%, Pot or Max bets at a click.

I’m willing to put this down to the fact that the player pool is still growing, since Clubs Poker had only been up and running for a couple of months during the time of my review. I’m going to reserve full judgement for now.

Clubs Poker Spin N’ Go

Much more popular were Spin N’Go’s, which are like a turbo charged micro-tournament. When you join one, you get instantly connected with 2 other players for close-range competition.

Buy-ins start from 100 GC and the total prize pool is randomized each time, introducing an extra element of RNG action.

I clicked “Register” for my chance to win up to 30,000 GC, but busted out pretty quickly with my A2 thanks to the weak kicker.

Clubs Poker All-in or Fold

All-in or Fold is a novel format where you are only given two options pre-flop: go all in, or fold. As you can probably guess, this is very high risk and removes a lot of the strategy that people love about poker.

As it turned out, I couldn’t test out the format for myself. I barely saw any All in or Fold tables during my week of reviewing, and never managed to jump into one myself. This was another area that felt underdeveloped, and I hope to see more action here in the future.

Variety is the spice of life, and Clubs Poker applies this age-old adage to their selection of daily tournaments. They boast Hold ‘Em, Omaha, 5-Card, 6-Card, Courchevel, Stud, Mixed, Badugi, Badacey, and 2-7 Single Draw tournaments. You can also sort by speed if you’re short on time.

The speed of the action ranges from “very slow” to “hyper” with several degrees in between. No matter your availability, Clubs Poker has tournaments that last just a few minutes or all day long.

You can see the different tournaments available for GC and SC players by toggling your balance indicator. The range of different options is a real strong point, with tons of formats, settings and volume of tournaments starting all the time.

I especially liked the freerolls, which provide rewards for both GC and SC players. GC players will compete for up to 400,000 Gold Coins, and SC players can earn free buy-ins for site-wide events.

In addition to hosting their own freerolls around the clock, they’ve partnered up with Hustler Casino to host guaranteed freerolls at 7 PM EST and 10 PM EST Monday – Friday.

I registered for their 2:30 PM freeroll event, hoping that I’d be the lucky winner of 300,000 GC. Before the tournament began, I opened “Details” to view the prize pool, the number of gamers

Both contact methods deliver similar reply times, so there’s no advantage to using one over the other. I received a ticket reply 5 hours later, and one of their agents addressed my direct email 6 hours after I’d left a message. I enjoyed positive attitudes all around while speaking to the team.

Clubs Poker hits the nail on the head in most departments, but they have a few areas to work on.
